It certainly has its fair share of flaws, and anyone looking for a horror game that’s less linear and features more gameplay might be a bit disappointed by it, but Layers of Fear 2 is still worth experiencing at least once. Better story pacing and a clearer start might have seen it outperform the competition. It finds a perfect balance between jump scares, chasing and stealth segments, puzzles, and following the narrative so that everything feels exciting, suspenseful, and thrilling. Layers of Fear 2 is yet another terrifying masterpiece which will fuck with your mind from the amazing Bloober Team. I can’t recommend Layers of Fear 2 unless you just absolutely love the genre and have played everything else out there.
